Encourage your CEO to join many other CEO's in the vinnies CEO Sleepout on 21 June 2018

The Vinnies Annual CEO Sleepout

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout began as a small local event in Western Sydney in 2006, the brainchild of a local businessman, Bernard Fehon who wanted to help raise some funds for Vinnies.

The event went national in 2010, attracting almost 700 CEOs in 7 cities and raising $2.9million to directly assist people experiencing homelessness.

The funds raised at the Vinnies CEO Sleepout help provide crucial assistance to people experiencing homelessness, including accommodation, meals, education, training, rehabilitation, and case management.

Over 116,000 Australians experience homelessness each night. For just one night, business and community leaders will give up the comfort and safety of their beds at home to learn more about homelessness.

Vinnies CEO, Jack de Groot said there is a growing housing affordability crisis in Australia pushing more people into homelessness.

"Without doubt, the Australian housing market produces large gains for the minority, while others are driven deeper into poverty, unable to break the cycle of disadvantage. Improving access to social and affordable housing is paramount if we are to enable people to move out of homelessness."

CEOs can register for this years' Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

Head to the website www.ceosleepout.org.au to find out more about how to register, nominate your CEO for the challenge, or make a donation.

The Sydney Vinnies CEO Sleepout will take place on Thursday 21 June 2018 at the White Bay Passenger Terminal.
